Stephanie is a double board-certified pediatrician specializing in preventive medicine and public health. As a high school senior, she was accepted to multiple Ivy League universities, but decided on Boston University’s 7-year medical program to pursue her dreams of becoming a physician. Her pediatrics training was at the combined residency program University of California, Irvine/Children’s Hospital Orange County and preventive medicine training at the combined residency program University of South Carolina/Prisma Health. She has experience in medical journalism and was an editor for many years for Mochi Magazine, an Asian American lifestyle publication. Since 2020, she has successfully mentored students with The Perfect Med on the pros and cons of traditional and non-traditional pathways to medicine. Her expertise is helping students shine on their personal statements, because everyone has a unique story to tell about their commitment to medicine.
